Tattle Flag Planer Board

Below is the back off a converted Offshore Planer Board. John McAllister is the "Discoverer" of the perfect spring for the Tattle Flag to work properly. Many people take credit for John's discovery, but he was the first. The spring is a C-73 that can be bought about anywhere for $1 or so a pack. Use heavy gauge wire, convert the clips to Church brand clips and make sure to leave some space in the line so the flag can go down. The C-73 is light enough to detect bites but still pull 2.5 oz. snap weights with even large cranks. Way to go John!!!!
